Destinations This event had an opportunity drawing with a limit of 600 opportunity tickets to be sold for a grand prize of a 1-week stay at a centuries-old Tuscan Villa for 6 people and $6,000 airfare credit. The villa is available between the months of May and September, 2007; the date is to be mutually agreed upon between the winner and owner of the villa. All opportunity ticket purchasers were invited to a very special Cocktail Party on the night of Sunday, November 19, 2006. Partygoers enjoyed hors d’oeuvres of Italian Delights and an “Enoteca” - a wine shop serving Chianti, Proseco, and Limoncello Martinis, while being entertained by a very talented tenor sharing with us his passion of Italian music. This party was a wonderful evening in the company of old and new friends. During the day of Sunday, November 19th, everyone was invited to shop at our Boutique di Regalo. Our boutique was open to all chapter members and friends. This was our first fundraising event at Assistance League’s new home, 6220 E. Spring Street, Long Beach. We had selected a large variety of beautiful, fun, and original items for men, women, and children of all ages to make the holiday shopping fun and enjoyable! The hours of operation will be 11 am to 4 pm, and we will continue sales in our boutique during the cocktail party. Proceeds from this event will benefit all of the Assistance League of Long Beach philanthropic programs.
