Nancy Lewis leads an enriched life

Jan 29, 2018

When a friend from church asked Nancy Lewis if she would be interested in joining Assistance League of Long Beach, she didn’t hesitate long. Nancy knew her friend, Bette Brightman, loved the organization, and she also knew and greatly respected Annette Kashiwabara, who at the time had just been named its new executive director. Also, Nancy knew that her opportunities for volunteering in a variety of ways would be great, and she had a long history of volunteering. . . .

She appreciates Assistance League of Long Beach for its many fine philanthropic programs and loves working alongside the dedicated members and staff. She said, “You don’t have to be rich to leave money to the endowment fund. The money we give is our way of ensuring that these vital services to children will continue.” And she notes, “There are many ways to donate to the endowment fund.” She contacted Annette Kashiwabara who worked with her to be sure that the method she chose was right for her.
