Operation School Bell
provides free school uniforms to elementary, middle, and high school
students in need. In 2006-2007, 4,500 children were served. Our goal for
the 2009-2010 school year is to clothe 7,500 students, with a plan to
clothe 10,000 students each school year beginning 2010-2011.
This is a program that Rick Rackers Auxiliary and chapter support
together to provide school uniforms to elementary, middle, and high
school students.

Rick Rackers, an auxiliary of Assistance League of Long Beach, welcomed 6 law clerks from the Long Beach Law Firm of Keesal, Young & Logan to the Philanthropic Center this summer. . . . These six law clerks took part in packing backpacks for more than 1600 Head Start children of the Long Beach Unified School District as part of the Operation School Bell program. . . .
